Welcome from Kansas City, MO, but formerly from Sullivan. You're in the right place for help.

Hello and welcome. You didn't give us much to go on. What is your unit? I didn't see any information in your post or in your public information. There are lots of helpful people here with a whole lot of experience and knowledge.

Keep posting and you will find lots of responses.

Question

I have a 2012 Rockwood fifth wheel. I am currently a campground host by the Lake of the Ozarks. I am having trouble with my sewer system. Since I am long terming been told to leave grey water open. It still backs up. Have tried flushing the grey. Tried flushing Black and realized it fills so far and goes out through the grey when the grey is open. It seems it gets full after only 2 days??? Does anyone have any knowledge to share?

OK - good question. I have a 2012 Rockwood travel trailer. So, now it might be helpful for us to know which model you have. For example mine is a Windjammer 3008, equipped with 3 drains. One is for the galley (the kitchen sink), another for the "grey water" which is for the bathroom sink and shower, and black water (the toilet).

Did your problem just start? Are the grey and black valves joined together, such as do they both exit out the same pipe.

Not knowing more at this point it is hard to decide the best solution, however I would close both black and grey valves at this time and add calgon water softener to both the toilet and the grey water tank/s. Let that stay in them until near full then open the drains one at a time to see how they each drain. Then repeat the process.

You should see more replies soon.

Best of luck.

Jim

This might also be helpful. you can find it at Amazon or local RV store.

Valterra A01-0184VP Master Blaster Tank Wand

It is useful to help clear debris from the holding tanks.
