Hello from Anacortes (very top LH corner)
We live in Anacortes, WA and are new to Georgetown. We purchased an '02 325 in mid-July. We've taken four short trips so far and it is such an improvement over our old Class C (an '85 Jamboree Spirit 26'), it's amazing. Our only issue is that it's a long way down the entry steps for our 13-year old Labrador!
I'm a retired Boeing engineer and a retired transit bus driver. Eileen is retired from her job as a dental assistant to a pediatric dentist.
We're looking forward to a busy season next year. We're getting almost 3mpg better than our old clunker, which had a 460 engine with a carburator (Carburator is a French irregular verb that means "leave well enough alone"). We spent so much on repairs to that thing, we reckon that over 2 seasons, our average night camping cost us about $350!
The Georgetown was sold to us by its original owners, with <12,000 miles on the clock. The have had to give up RVing for medical reasons. They were both neat freaks, so the interior is spotless - looks like new. We did have to replace the original 2001 Goodyears (part of the sale negotiation) and got new Toyos from our local Les Schwab store. We also will have to replace the slide toppers - it's going in the shop tomorrow for that job.
This forum looks like a very friendly place. We look forward to a long association with it and with our Georgetown.
