Hello from Australia

Hello fellow enthusiasts,
Thank you for accepting me into the group!

My name is Emil, from Western Australia.
I have a Rockwood Freedom xrt282 that I love to take out to the bush and go prospecting for gold with the wife with a Canam at the front.
We have had it for a couple of years now and am semi retired, trying to work through the wiring and clean it up.
I haven't been able to source any kind of manual on line and am hoping that someone may be able to help me out.

Unfortunately, the only manuals available are online under the forestriverinc.com Owners tab and they are pretty generic - a 'one size fits most' approach. Going to the component manufacturer's website and downloading their manuals will give you the best information. Wiring manuals are generally not available except for some recent FR models.

Your best advice will be on the Rockwood subforum.
Gold prospecting sounds like a lot of work with great rewards and hopefully some fun mixed in.

Welcome to the forum!

you won't find a manual for the wiring...
best you can do is try and trace each wire and label them
unplug stuff see what stops working

PITA

careful on the AC stuff

The OP has a popup, not a TT or 5th Wheel.
So the appropriate sub-forum would be the Tent Camper and Popup section, not the Rockwood sub-forum.
Since the Rockwood and Flagstaff popups are exactly the same trailers, there was no need to have separate popup brand sub-forums for them.

Emil, go to the Forest River website and download the Rockwood Tent Camper owners manual. It will be very generic and have little to no model-specific information.

Thank you for the welcome. It is a lot of fun getting away from phone reception and having a campfire going. The gold we find is a bonus!

Thanks Bikendan,
I’ve started to work my way through the tent camper and pop up section.

Cheers

Thanks mate,
I’ve already traced back and replaced a fair bit of wiring. Fitted a new Renogy dc to dc charger, switches, fuse box, and inverter, isolator switch.
The ac side of things seems to work fine. Solar regulator wasn’t working properly, but now runs through the dc to dc charger.
Some interesting ways of terminating cables have come to light, so they are my next mission. Managed to get the internal toilet sorted out on the weekend. Impeller was jammed. I had never used it, always dug a hole in the bush, but as age creeps up on us, wife wants her comforts!

Was the AC electrical side converted to 220v, instead of the 110v AC that we have?

Yes, converted to 240 volt to suit Aus.
There was a dealer on the east coast who imported them from the US, no longer trading though.

Hi Emil, another member from Tasmania, Australia. I imported a Rockwood 5th wheeler just over 12 months ago and did most of the Aussie compliance myself, except for 240v and gas compliance.
