Hello from Bob, Wendy, & Spanky (the Terrier)
Hello everyone. We've just made the leap from a Rockwood PUP to a Surveyor SV235RKS. Since we live in Minnesota, we don't dare de-winterize and use it yet; maybe about mid-May. So to compensate, I've spent WAY too much money on Internet buying and installing items. Leveling Legos, Sewer Solution, Hoses, Tools, Chocks, Locks, Pure Power, Slinky storage tube, Kitchen Counter Extension, yadda, yadda, . . . and a few hundred dollars later . .
While the Surveyor seems to be of reasonably good quality, a couple of items needed immediate attention. The 2,000 pound tongue jack it came with was almost impossible to use; very poor quality. Bought a 5,000 pound manual jack from Northern Tool which is a huge improvement. I had put a group 27 battery on the PUP for boondocking so swapped that over to the Surveyor which came with a group 24.
So our maiden voyage will be the weekend of May 17 with some friends and their Class C. We're looking forward to some warmer weather and some good times. Now, if it would just quit SNOWING . . . ..
