Hello from Bowling Green, KY

As the title says, I'm from Bowling Green, KY. My wife and I bought a 2015 Avenger ATI 27bbs and really enjoy it. We're both fairly new to Rving, but have come to quickly love it. I hope to retire in the next couple of years and use the RV more. Our next trip is to Gulf Shore State Park in September.

I've learned a lot from this forum and hope to learn even more in the future.

Just stopping by to say HI.

Charles

Edit- my mistake- the Shrimp Festival is Oct 12.

Welcome!
We spent a week in Gulf Shores SP last Sept.
Something to consider is they have a shrimp festival in Sept.
If you want to be there for that- great and you better have your
reservation NOW.
If you really don't want a huge crowd and just want a peaceful camp ground
and easy driving around the area AVOID the festival.

Second if you're into bicycle riding Gulf Shores SP has MILES and MILES of
paved bike trails. Bring your bikes!!

If you like secluded beach walking don't miss a visit to Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and Fort Morgan just a little further West of that.

Finally there is a toll bridge where the Foley Beach Express crosses Portage creek. When you get around to actual routing you can ask about that and many can direct you how to avoid it.

We're about "this close- thumb and finger held very close together" to a return trip ourselves. We'll probably go in October tho....

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome!

I don't like seafood, so the shrimp fest does not appeal to me. Everything else about the park does appeal.

One more thing- no visit to the area is complete until you eat at Lamberts cafe. A half hour north. https://www.throwedrolls.com/shopcontent.asp?type=Foley
It's an amazing amount of down home country cooking.

Thanks

My wife and I have been to Gulf Shores several times. Only 2 times with a camper. We bought a camper last year and it didn't have a couch and we spent a week in Gulf Shores and the wife hated it. We came back to Kentucky and traded it immediately. We like this new one a lot better. Still looking for the "perfect" one, but enjoying this one until that time comes.
