Hello from Camarillo, CA

Hi,

New owner of a 2018 Rockwood Roo 23IKSS. Great Forum, I've learned a lot and I appreciate all the great information shared. Looking forward to learning more and contribute as well.

Thanks,

Jim K.

Welcome from northern Illinois. (Spent 3 yrs at NAS Pt. Mugu in the early '70's.)

The Roo's are nice units. You may want to search the forum for threads regarding leaks while closed up. A small number of units suffer from it, others don't; ours was fine for the 3 yrs we had it.

Welcome to FRF!
Lived in Cam for 17 years, off of Las Posas and Ponderosa.
Miss Ventura County a lot, especially camping at Pt Mugu and the surfing.
We had a Roo 23SS for 10 years.

Thank you all for the welcome replies. Glad to see that there are folks that lived nearby. We love it here and there are plenty of campgrounds in short distances. I haven't camped at Pt Mugu yet but it is definitely on our list to visit soon. Looking forward in going camping next week but most campgrounds are full. I think we will have a better chance in September when kids are back to school and vacationers are back to work

We loved Sycamore Canyon campground. I could go mtn biking in the Canyon or go surf at Neptune's Net.
I will say that the campground has gone downhill, over the past few years, mainly due to the state not providing enough funding for the State Park system.
The last time we were there was 6 or 7 years ago, so maybe it's been improved.
When we lived in California, we stopped camping in the summer. We camped during the other 3 seasons.
