Hello from canada!!!

My wife Lynda and I are travelers. Cruise ships for 10 years and now RVing. We have been dreaming of this for many years, rented for the past 3 and just purchased our own 2010 Georgetown 300FW. A real beauty. (If I can only figure out how to place a picture of here in my profile).

I love this forum and see a lot of generous, kind and helpful members. I will need advice as a newbie. I am not a computer science wiz but I can drive the heck out of a 65' double bus!

We are looking forward to traveling down south in the winters. Canada is beautiful but VERY cold in the winter. The beast is sleeping in the snow right now, covered of course. Looking forward to talking to you all and perhaps meeting some of you on our travels!

Bob & Lynda from Canada

Thank you SeaDog. We are looking forward to our new adventure. Wish I could figure out how to insert my Avitar? BTW, I have a lot of ex service men working for me in Texas. They are incredibly hard working, kind and fun to be around. Always a great story from one of them.

HI Itat,
With the price of gas at over $6.00/gal, I will be bringing my money to the beautiful USA this summer. Where do you usually travel? Favorite spots?

We haven’t been to the US for camping - just the odd day trip. We camp mostly at Provincial Parks here in Ontario plus some KOAs. We discovered a nice private campground in the Muskokas a couple years ago but haven’t camped much in the past year due to ailing parents for whom I’m primary caregiver.

We spent a fair bit of time when we were younger travelling around the US on a motorcycle. We’re focused on travelling in Canada for now.

As they say, if you’re worried about the price of fuel you’re best to not buy a RV (any bigger than a pop up).

LOL! I have done Algonquin 10 years in a row (Tent trailer), Sandbanks and a few others.
RV-Vermont is beautiful, gas is cheap. Lake George is also very nice. Last year we did New Brunswick! OMG, beautiful! Take care of your family Bud. Cheers!
