Hello from Central Florida!

Greetings, Everyone! Brand new forum member from Davenport, Florida. I am the proud new owner of a brand new 2013 Rockwood Freedom 1640LTD Popup Camper.

I really lucked out on this one... I happened to find this listed on Craigslist from a gentleman who purchased it under a year ago brand new, then suffered a stroke and was no longer able to go camping or deal with a camper. So, it's been sitting brand-new in his garage, never used. I feel like I stole it from him for $5k.

I grew up with my parent's 1976 Coleman Brandywine Popup camper and wanted to re-live some of my childhood camping fun. This 1640LTD is a great starter camper and my wife and I already spent our first few nights in it last weekend. First time it's ever been camped in.

I'm definitely impressed with Forest River quality. The Rockwood is only temporary until we can special order our Thunderbolt XLR 395AMP.

I have a handful of concerns that I won't put here, but I just wanted to introduce myself before I just jumped into the questions. Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Where exactly is Fawn Ridge? Google doesn't bring up too much info.

Magic Lake RV Resort is actually less then 5 minutes from our house, almost in our backyard.

It is about 1/2-3/4 miles south of I4 on Hwy 27, behind the 3 story red brick bank building on the east side of the hwy. Fawn Ridge was part of Deer Creek.

Welcome to the forum from Clearwater. This forum is a great source of information. Watch out for the 'modification bug'. it catches many of us.
