Hello from Corvallis

New forum member, sorta new RVer. Travelled from Clearwater, Fl to Corvallis, Or over the past 5 weeks. We have learned much, particularly 'don't take a southern route in July.' And, 'if a tire is low, it has a problem and should be replaced, not just aired-up.'
We ran in +100° temps from Amarillo to Bakersfield, Ca. Tire blew on I-5 around Shasta. So with 4 new tires, heading home next week via a more northerly route. Got a lot of tire info off this forum, so joining makes sense. Thanks to past members for posting their experiences. I hope we can be a help to someone in the future.

Hi Beagled! So sorry for the delay in welcome you aboard. Glad to have you as part of the FRF family. I'm in SoCal and Bakersfield can be pretty hot. And I agree about this forum offering lots of good information.

When you are ready just jump right in and start some threads. It's the best way to get knowledge.

Good luck.

At least you will get to see most of the US. Sounds like a long, fun, road trip. I'm from so. Cal and hunt up in the Klamath river area. I know that strip of I-5 by Shasta. Pretty drive north of redding. Sorry you had to stop in Bakersfield. We call it the armpit of California lol. My parents are from Corvallis. Hope you had a wonderful time. I'll check some treads on tires for my knowledge.
