Hello from East Tennessee

Just picked up a 2004 Forest River Shamrock 19 about a week ago! Got it all cleaned up and ready to take it out on the road! I've seen the post where another newbie asked about tips and tricks and saw the video of using the fans to suck in the canvases when folding up the beds. Can't wait to try that out! Anything else I should know? I watched the YouTube series of videos about replacing the bunk doors. Anyone tried that and have any suggestions? I'll need to do my front bunk before I can use it. Another question: it came with an outdoor grill but I can't seem to get gas flow to it. It has a gas line coming out where the grill connects to the camper. Is there a separate shut off valve somewhere that I'm missing? The stove ignites on the inside so I know that it's getting through there.

That won't work on older hybrids like yours and mine.
Only works on newer hybrids with the pre-attached canvas tent ends.
Yours and mine have the snap and bungee tent ends, that are open at the tent bottoms.

I wondered how that would work! Dang it!

Welcome from upstate NY, I hope getting it ready for the road included pulling the wheels and checking and repacking the wheel bearings, and checking the tire condition. Most of the on the road issues are tire and wheel related. Enjoy and God Bless.
