Smile Hello from High Falls Georgia

So glad to be here. Hope to learn a lot and share what very little I know. Presently having a problem with my battery. I just purchased a new one yesterday and by night fall it had drained down. My lights get dimmer then I hear an alarm, so I have to turn the lights off to get the alarm to stop. I have a 2009 Forest River Sandpiper40' fifth wheel. If anyone can give me some advice about this, I sure would appreciate it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

First off, Welcome to the forums!

Secondly, did you make sure the battery had a full charge before you used it? If you bought off the shelf it might not have been full. Depending on your usage the batteries could drain pretty quick. There's lots of information on this site about dry camping and boondocking and ways to maximize your batteries.

Hi Kaadk and thanks for your reply! I bought it and they said that it was fully charged but who knows if it was really. I presently have it on a battery charger and my lights and furnace fan works just fine. I'm going to leave it on the charger till tomorrow when hopefully it will be fully charged. I really appreciate your mentioning that, I hadn't thought of that at all. I've checked all the fuses and I'm going to borrow a voltage meter tomorrow and check to see if I can find the problem if it still exists. Thanks bunches for your suggestion! I'll let you know.

Welcome! We stayed at the state cg at High Falls in 2007 for an overnighter on our way to WDW. I'd love to stay again, it was beautiful!
