Hello from Illinois

My wife and I just ordered a new Rockwood 8311SS. We're about 6 weeks away from taking delivery. I'm not sure if we can wait that long, it's like a child waiting for Christmas morning to come.
This is our first TT, although we are not new to camping. We are looking forward to getting out and seeing something besides the flat-lands of Illinois. Our "Grand Plan" is to load our TT with the kids and dogs, and drag everything out to Yellowstone.
We look forward to tapping the wealth of knowledge and experience here!

Congrats neighbor (not really that close)! we are in Bartlett IL. next door to Elgin (we still have a few cornfields left). It will be hard, but you`ll get through. just start doing some research on campgrounds. our first trip is Meorial Day. we go up to Wisconsin Riverside Resort in Spring Green. maybe we`ll see you there. lots of campgrounds in the area.

If you need any ideas for the area (200mile radius), just ask, we have been to alot and feel pretty comfortable on pointing you to a good campground.

We will be staying close to home to start, until we get comfy with our TT. We will be hitting you guys up for some info on the near by parks.
We also ride, so it will be a juggling act between camping and riding. Next trailer may be a toy hauler.

Congrats on the new camper and welcome to the forum! A friend of mine bought an 8311ss in Nov and stores it on my parking lot aside of mine. I really like the layout.
