Hello from Manitoba

Hello all,

Just purchased a Forrest River RV bumper pull and decided to join the forum. My wife and I are old time (both in age and experience, lol) campers, started in a tent, graduated to a pop-up and got old and lazy and this is our second bumper pull RV. We needed the air conditioner for the dog!!

Have used and enjoyed this forum in the past but never joined, now that we purchased Forrest River RV we felt we should join. Hopefully we can contribute in some way.

It's still winter here but we are looking forward to spring and to start enjoying our new RV.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your new purchase and I hope you have lots of great experiences.

We're heading through MB later this year on our way east. I was planning an overnight stop some where near Brandon and would certainly appreciate any recommendations.

Hutch333id,

There are two camp grounds in Brandon, Turtle Crossing and Meadowlark Campgrounds both are privately owned an operated. There is new ownership of a formed Provincial camp ground at the intersection of PTH No 1 and 1A. There is also a Provincial campground (Spruce Woods) on PTH No 5 south of Carbery MB as well as Clear Lake National Park on NO 10 north of Brandon. The provincial and national parks are very nice, I can't vouch for the private one. Hope this helps.

Norge,

Thanks for this. I'll start with doing some research on the private ones in Brandon. I only need sometime for a night as we drive through to Toronto.

Really appreciate all of the suggestions.

Cheers

Welcome! I hope you enjoy your new trailer!

My husband and I just bought our first travel trailer this year. We just moved from Winnipeg to Alberta about 1 1/2 years ago!

Enjoy!
