Hello from Maryland – Flagstaff 21DS Micro Lite

First I want to thank everyone on this site for posting/sharing, their good and bad experiences with their trailer. I need to stop reading because of all of the wonderful ideas/upgrades. I like to give a big shout out to “01tundra” on his “2020 Mini Lite 2109S Build Thread”. I fell in love with his RV shelter but unfortunately the DW is shooting it down, she say's it will look hideous behind the shed due to the size/height.

We camped a couple of years in a tent then a pop-up camper until the kids got older and more involved into sports and school. Kids been out of the home for 10 plus years and looking forward to traveling a little more in luxury then our previous endeavors with a tent and pop-up. Used to borrow my youngest son's small travel, Jay flight swift 185RB, when we had to watch the grand dogs. Then he went out and purchased a huge camper and dually pick-up. I decided I would pass on such a monstrosity.

Wife and I spent the last couple of years going to RV shows and dealers to get an idea on what kind and type of camper to purchase. Originally, I was trying to find a camper without a slide and the wife did not want to climb over me to get out of bed. Also we both agreed that we wanted a queen size bed.

We narrowed it down to a 2104S Rockwood with a Queen Size Murphy Bed, but their was none to be found with the interior color, L-Shape kitchen and than the price. By the time I was able to make a trip to buy one in NJ at an agreeable price it was sold. Then I saw a SOLD Flagstaff 21DS at Keystone RV in PA. I inquired about the price and verbally the price was about the same for the one I was going to buy in NJ. Wife and I took a trip to see the one he had sold that was still on the lot. We wanted to make sure it was everything we wanted because we had never seen one with the new L-Shape Kitchen. Wife was happy, emailed back and forth and got a GREAT Price on a 2020 Flagstaff 21DS Micro Lite. I would like to give a big shout out to Mike White at Keystone RV. Hopefully in 12 weeks we will be proud new owners of a Brand New Travel Trailer.

Wife has been picking up incidentals while shopping for the camper and I had purchased an Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch, hopping to buy a Camper in NJ.

Lastly just had a parking pad put in behind our shed, hopefully I will be able to back/park or camper in new space without hitting the trees or running off my driveway.

welcome fellow marylander - we also bought our Flagstaff Shamrock from Keystone. We have had good luck with their service.

That parking pad looks pretty good -

Welcome from Delaware!!! Keystone is a great place to deal with plus they help sponsor our brass Ring Rally, last year they supplied a donation that we were able to do a pancake and sausage breakfast and coffee and donuts before our seminars. Be sure to check out the FROG Home page for events there are a few next year in your area, or at close enough to attend

Welcome from Western Maryland! I bought a Flagstaff from Keystone back in '13 and then our current unit in April '16. I have always had great service from Keystone. And I am envious of your parking pad! I don't have room on the side of my house to get the Sunseeker alongside or in the back.... so it's stuck sitting in the driveway from April to November.
Enjoy your new rig when you get it!
