Hello from Medina, Oh

I own a new 2019 Rockwood Ultra Lite travel trailer. Ques: when my awning is sliding out it makes a slamming/banging noise, why? It retracts with no problems.

Welcome to the forum from Winnipeg, Manitoba
We have the same issue with our awing, dealer said nothing to worry about, a lot of them do that.

My aunt lives in Medina and I was just out there in September. Small world!

For the awning, the banging is it being bound up. This is sometimes due to the fabric being off-center on the roller. Try:
- extend the awning as far as it’ll go
- get on a ladder on one side of the extended awning
- firmly grasp the flap of fabric that hangs down
- shove the roller tube away from you

Try the awning now. If it’s worse, do it from the other end. If it’s better but not fixed, do it again from this end.

Welcome, We're in Geauga county.
We purchased our unit at Avalon RV in Mediana.

Our awning does the same, only on retracting rather than bring it in. As ependydad said, the awning fabric is not quite square with the roller. I can actually see it on ours, I just haven't gotten out there to adjust it yet.

Thank you for your message. I have a question:I have a flexible antenna and want to cover my RV. Do you have the same antenna? If so, did you fold it down and secure some how?

Our antenna has a hub at the base with a set screw that can be loosened and the antenna laid flat against the roof then tightened back up.
Unfortunately ours is in storage and can't get a pic to send.
