Cool Hello from Missouri

Hello everyone, I'm a greenhorn to hauling a camper and recently purchased a used 2006 Rockwood Roo 21RS. I joined this forum hoping to learn from experienced campers and give back what I learn. Here's to many fun adventures in the future!

Hello fellow Missourian. I too am new pulling a camper. I've pulled flatbed trailers before, but nothing as big as our 22 foot travel trailer. I can say that practice has helped a lot. I find pulling it pretty easy. Just take your time and go slow. Be aware of the cars around you and give plenty of warning when you need to change lanes. Don't worry about going too slow. It is better for you to adjust to pulling it safely and let the speed come at your pace. For my truck the manual stated a safe top speed to go when pulling. Follow it and get used to your rug. It is of course the backing it up that can be tricky. Lucky for me I have an empty parking lot close to my house. I spent about an hour setting up areas to practice backing into. It helped a lot. Watch videos and you will get a lot of help. Try the different methods. You will then decide what works best for you.

Hi,
I never really got backing up either until I saw this video. I can now back up as a professional.
