Hello from NB Canada!

Hi everyone!

We are from the maritimes, and are looking forward to go camping this season with our new flagstaff tent trailer.. Soon as the snow melts we will be out enjoying the great outdoors! Always on the lookout for great new places to go camping and try out some boondocking. So if any maritimers out there have any places in mind drop us a line.. Happy camping!

Welcome from east of Toronto! It might take a little longer for the snow to melt down there this year, eh!? The Maritimes got hit hard! We're all feeling for you guys up here.

Yes we sure did get hit hard! But we have hope, the snow banks are slowly melting! Hopefully within 4 weeks.. Maybe a little longer we can get out!

Welcome from NS. One more snow storm and I'm hooking up, using 4 low to pull our TT out of the snow bank, and heading south! Looking forward to camping season as well; traditionally we start the long weekend in May. In 2013 we woke to find 12" of snow in or campsite - in May! The joke next year was packing our snow shovels, and blowers for camping.

Hahahaha we keep saying the same thing! Please no more snow. We plan on heading to NS a few times this summer, have been to Keji before, very nice park! Haven't been anywhere else down there camping though looking forward to it.. Know of any places we should check out? If you ever come our way we'd recommend Fundy National... It's Beautiful! Our favorite!

Welcome from Ontario. Fundy National is one of our favorites in NB, if your going to PEI then Twin Shores is great, Keggi National Park in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia is very nice. If you head to the ROCK try JT Cheeseman only 15km from the Ferry. Pippy Park in St Johns is also outstanding

Welcome from Ontario. Congratulations on your new camper. Wife and I are from NS. Couple years ago went for a visit in our TT. Stayed in a real family spot called Hilltop by Economy just ourside Truro. On our way through NB stopped at a spot overnight called Rivers Edge or Rivers Bend which is at Edmunston. You always know when you are in NB when you get stuck behind a logging truck, at least the highways have been fixed.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome to the group! We are looking forward to camping this year for sure... The snow is melting and we see a light at the end of the dark tunnel lol... We have been checking out all the campground around the maritimes and have a list of a few we want to hit! Getting our camper stocked and ready.. Got the extra foam for the mattress, 2-6v batteries & 1500w inverter should help! It's almost as fun as being out there!

We spent 6 weeks in the Maritimes in 2012, Best vacation we ever took. Masena to Quebec, thru MB to Moncton, Took the bridge to PEI and the ferry back to NovaScotia. Halifax Peggys cove, Cabot trail, Digby, Halls Harbor, Hopewell Rocks etc. That just scratches the surface. We did not make it to Newfoundland. There was a hurricane bearing down on the area we would have stayed.

Welcome fellow Maritimer...I just posted what my travel trailer looked like 1 week after spring and we had the huge dump of snow. We're finally starting to thaw. This Forum is great, filled will helpful ideas and wonderful people. Best of Luck this camping season!

We've camped in Fundy, Keji, and a few other places. Where's your favorite places to camp?

We enjoy Caribou Munroe's Island ... its a Provincial Campground if you don't mind boondocking (no hook-ups) It's only 20 minutes away from home so very convenient for the weekend getaways. It has a great beach. However, there's a place in Cape Breton called MacLeod's Beach Campground; near Inverness about 10 minutes drive North. It has hookups if needed but also fantastic sites along the beach with a spectacular view with rolling hills and sunsets. (boondock sites) There is a winding brook from the hills that flows through the sandy beach and into the ocean. My kids played there for hours! And its not a crowded place.

Of course if you want to go further North into Cape Breton; the Highlands National Park will not dissappoint. Tonnes of hiking in the Mountains/hills (we call them mountains cause its the biggest hills we have

Swimming at beaches or near water falls. Lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors.

Awesome thanks for the campground tips! Not sure if we would make it all the way up to the highlands this summer but someday hopefully! the other places sound very nice! We are starting to get camping fever this snow can't go quick enough!
