I am curious as to the performance of your 7.3L gas V-8. Have you used it much? Have you towed with it?
I ask as we have an SOB Class C on order with that engine, although you probably have the 10 speed transmission and we’ll have the 6 speed. Thanks from your neighbor here in Durham.

Well, I cannot comment as of yet. We just bought the truck just for this purpose as the Jeep Wrangler was not an option.
Once I do if you have not gotten yours yet I will certainly give input. Yes I do have the 10 speed transmission.

We have the 2020 F250 7.3 3.55 gears and have towed our 6500# Roo 3 times, OBX, Stone Mtn NC and Santee, SC. It has a total of 3600 miles right now. LOL
Power is not a problem. Of course NC is low altitude. We can get as good as 9.5-10mpg at 65 but it drops to around 7.5-8 at 75.

Welcome from another Old North State resident -- not a native, but I've lived in NC for 35 years and love it here -- I didn't get as much time in my rig this past year due to the pandemic, but still logged nearly a month on several trips. Enjoy your new rig and travel safely,

Hendersonville I see. My wife and I lived in Weaverville for almost 14 years and then moved back to the center of the state where we are from.
We had a German restaurant in H’ville we loved a lot. Not to mention Papas and Beer and Apollo Flame the Greek restaurant off Brevard Rd. in Asheville.
We miss the mountains for sure.

Haus Heidelberg. We’ve eaten there both times we went to Lakewood RV Resort. Good eats!

That is it! Wonderful German food. The sampler was enough for three people!

Welcome
Born and raised in Davidson County but now trying (unsuccessfully) to show people how to do things right in New England. Still have family in Lexington.
Went to Brevard College and UNCC. Then GTCC later to get my aircraft mechanic’s license.

I live next door to Davidson County......good bbq there! I also went to GTCC and then UNCC. Started out in mechanical engineering then got side tracked into criminal justice side of things. Has worked out pretty good. Retire in two years on a full pension then still young enough to get that great job hopefully from all the training I have amassed so I can become a double income camper!
Which is your favorite bbq place in Lexington?

Welcome aboard and congrats on your purchase. We just took delivery Saturday. Traded our 16 Coachman Chaparral X-Lite 5vr for a 2021 Cherokee Artic Wolf 298LB 5vr. We are just south of the NC border in York County, SC. Safe travels and maybe we see you on the road someplace.

Awesome and congratulations on the new camper. We do our walk-through tomorrow then the dealer stores it for free for 30 days until I can get my shop finished/built then gravel brought in and a gravel pad made for the TT.
