Hello from NJ

Hello all. My wife and I just bought our first RV! A 2024 Wildwood 22ERASX. We were planning on waiting until after the Hershey show, and hoping that that model would be on display. We’d seen it on YouTube, but really wanted to see it in person. There were none available closer than Ohio. Then Monday, a dealer 15 minutes away had one on their website, so we went over to look at it. They had to open it up because it had just arrived. We looked it over and bought it immediately! We’re completely unprepared, but very excited! Bought a WDH that’s on its way. Picking it up next week.

Welcome to the forum. That is a nice floor plan.

When you get a minute consider adding a Signature block with your trailers info, and tow vehicle info, as that will make it easier for folks to answer any questions you post.

Thanks everyone. Our camper comes without a TV, so if anyone has suggestions we’d appreciate it.

Welcome from South Jersey, make sure you do a good PDI and have everything fixed before pulling off the lot. Don’t trust the sales guy, he will promise you the world to get the Rv off the lot. Many RV shops have tons of people waiting for approvals for warranty work and parts to arrive. Some RVs sit waiting for months before they are approved for repairs.
Turn on everything and have them add water to the tanks .
Take some time to read some of the stories and suggestions on this forum before picking up your RV.

Also congrats on your new Rv and welcome to the forum.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Congrats and enjoy your 2024 Wildwood 22ERASX. Unfortunately RV's are sent from the manufacturer to dealer with problems/issues. Under the Library tab above there is a PDI checklist in the 'Most Popular Files' section. Print it off and take it with you to do a thorough inspection. Check everything, faucets, outlets, fridge, stove, AC, furnace, etc. Don't sign off or hand over any $ until everything is in working order.

One question. I noticed there’s no propane quick connect, but I’m positive that I saw one when I looked at this model on YouTube. Does that sound normal?

Welcome to the forum. X 2 on the above. There is a PDI check list available to down load by going to the green header bar above look for Library click on it it then look for PDI and print. Good luck. Later RJD

Thanks, but I don’t see that anywhere. Maybe it’s not on the app version of the forum?

Welcome from Morris Co. I second what Homebrew said about PDI. I took 4 hours doing mine. It is good that you are buying local, I had to drive 3 hours to pick mine up each way, after ordering it at Hershey show. Made it a lot harder to say 'no deal' when things where not fixed right before picking it up, then I ended up having to go back.

You may have missed the quick connect port. But unless you are able to modify your propane appliances to take out regulator (some have regulator built into flame control knob), it is useless, as it is already regulated down to low pressure, and you can't have two regulators.

Okay. I guess I’ll have to bring a charcoal grill. [emoji16]

I just bring along an extra 20lb propane tank, this way I can put my tabletop dual burner grill anywhere I want, either on my cook station or at end of picnic table. I also use the tank for my Coleman suitcase stove, and propane firepit.

Can someone point me to a “things you should buy, things you shouldn’t” list? I’ve been looking around and I don’t see that so far. I’m laying in hospital bed waiting for results right now, so I may have missed it. I figured someone would have made a list like that and my wife and I are brand new to RV’ing. Thanks!

Sucks being in that bed, too many times for me over past few years. 58 now, hopefully past most of the rough stuff for awhile. Use the search window at of page, I punched in RV shopping list and lots of stuff came up. I tracked all the 'stuff' I bought for the RV, and my 20' trailer that cost 17.6k ended up costing me over 6 grand in 'stuff'. Amazon loves me. I stopped keeping track after the first 6 grand. The big ticket items for me were additional solar, inverter generators, and Micro Air AC soft start.

I’m going to switch to the web version, because I don’t even see a search bar on this app. Those sounds like good purchases, I will look around. I’m also your age, I’m hoping I’m good for a while. No problems today I’m being discharged.
