Hello from Northern Ohio

Just found this site yesterday, what a lot of great info! I am on my 2nd Rockwood Mini Lite, 2007 1408, found a 2008 1809 two years ago slightly used..like the fixed bed. this one has the cream cabinents/stainless appliances/wood look floor and is the perfect traveler. I am a snowbird, travel from OH to southern AZ/CA for the past 3 years. I tow with 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd short bed regular cab 5.7LT Hemi. I do a lot of boondocking as well as Nat./State parks...anything from Casinos to resorts...lots of free camping websites, many with some services. with the short wheelbase truck and short trailer, it is easy to visit friends homes..fits in most city driveways, or anywhere. I spend a lot of time in Quartzsite AZ..( the greatest show on dirt) any dust eaters out there? sure met a lot of RV'ers there, and learned even more about dry camping. Started with Honda 2000i generator..have two batteries, just purchaced a portable 90 solar panel that folds up in a suitcase, and added some LED lights. Do not camp as much in the summer as I spend 4 to 5 months away in the winter. Looking forward to hearing more about others experiences!

Hi Steve

Welcome!! I'm from Ohio, too (Loudonville). Just ordered an 1809S a week ago (Tuscan cream cabinets)!! Sounds like you have had some good times in your 1809!

Hello,
I am from Norwalk, as a matter of fact, one of my few summer campouts is comming up, will be at Mohican Wilderness in Loudonville on June 22-23, I have had a blast in my 1809..the light color cabinets and large front window make it feel bigger than it is, I'm sure you will get many compliments on your 1809s..where did you get yours from? I have not had many problems and as you see, I pull it to the west coast every winter and stay in it for 4-5 months, converted the dinette to a large comfy sofa, and can still use as a bed or table with a few alterations, keep me posted as to when you get yours..want to hear your thoughts!

Welcome to the site, it's great to have more Ohioians here on the site. Elidh, we were just up that way for Memorial Weekend. We stayed at Round Lake Christian Assembly. We will be up there for a Week in August at the Mohican Wilderness.
