Hello From NW Florida

Hello, My wife and I are getting the bug to join the RV group of good people. We are shopping for our first RV and so far have fell in love with the Vibe 26RK. I have a 1/2 ton truck, 2wd with the 5.7L hemi and 3.92 gears. All my research shows I should be able to handle 10,600 lbs and 1485 hitch/cargo weight. I'm really in two minds about getting the 26rk or dropping down to something smaller. I really don't want to change my truck yet. Looking for any advice from experienced folks. I'm a retired military man and still work for them. So the opportunity to get out and enjoy life is really kicking in.

Sorry but with only 1482lbs of truck payload capacity and a TT with a fictional dry tongue weight of 941lbs, I don't think you have enough truck. And it's almost 34ft long![emoji32]
That 941 number is with no batteries, no factory options, no water and no trailer cargo.
So figure 1000lbs of tongue with a battery. Now add 100lbs for the WDH. That only leaves you 382lbs for you and your wife, any truck cargo/add-ons and the added tongue weight of water, trailer options and trailer cargo.
IMHO, too much tongue weight and length for a 1/2 Ram.
If you weighed 200lbs and your wife weighed 150lbs, you'd only have 32lbs of payload left over and that's with absolutely nothing in the trailer.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry but one thing that was left out was full LP tanks now you have no pay load left just to much TT for your truck. Later RJD

I believe that, for the last few years, dry website/brochure tongue weights include the propane gas weight.
