My wife and I just traded in a 2012 Montana High Country 303RK 5th wheel for a 2018 Shockwave T21RQMX loaded with all the options. We are from the Bitterroot valley, South of Missoula.
The Montana made a good 2nd home or guest house but was impossible to get into tight mountain campsites. It has basically set at our house for the last 5 years being used as a guest house. The wife had lost interest in camping because of not being able to get into any remote sites.
I take possession of the Shockwave next Wednesday and say goodbye and good riddance to the Montana. From everything I have seen so far of the Shockwave, the construction and quality is head and shoulders above the Montana.
The wife now has a greatly renewed interest in remote camping. I live 1 mile from National Forest. I now have my truck bed back instead of being taken up by a 5th wheel hitch!!
