Hello From Oregon

Been using this forum a lot for research before and after we purchased our Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S last summer. My wife and I have been considering to get an RV for a few years and decided to go all in last summer. We have used our new trailer every month since on the Oregon Coast and a couple state campgrounds close to home. Got our hookup, maintenance and teardown down to a science.

We are having a blast enjoying the RV Life and had a few bumps but nothing been can not get past. We continue to enjoy the fun we are having and the joy of our mini trips and looking to expand to longer trips in the near future.

Discovered some leaks around ceiling fixtures that needed to be tightened up due to weather changes causing small gaps. I think I got them all resolved except for a leak coming through the wifiranger that also blew out the microwave magnetron. This site has given me plenty of what to check and do to resolve the problem when it warms up a bit. Meanwhile I picked up a new trailer cover to keep things dry between trips and eliminate leaks.

Had our first tire failure, inside slice (how?) so the tire had to be replaced, but with the guidance of YouTube I learned the best way to change a tire on a trailer. Just love all the knowledge out there on the internet.

Really looking forward to being more of a participant on this site as I learn more about taking care of our RV and learning what others are doing with their trailers and trucks.

Cheers to everyone and Happy RVing to you all!

I'm a bit concerned that you're using the trailer cover to eliminate leaks and keep things dry. Sometimes condensation can form under those covers and if you've got a leak in the roof, the water will find the leak.
Also, tightening the fixtures will not solve a leak problem. It's more likely to trap water between the roof and the interior of the trailer leading to rot. You need to examine all seams on the roof to make certain everything is sealed as soon as the weather clears up.

If the rig is under warranty, you might want to take it back to the dealer.

Welcome to the forum!
Thanks for the advice, I am doing all around in inspection of the trailer today. The temporary solution to put the cover on did stop the immediate concern, the trailer was dry inside after winter rains the past two months which was my hope until we got nice weather again. I really appreciate your insight and thus why I love this forum. Cheers!
