Hello everyone! My family and I just bought "OUR" first camper, a 2006 Flagstaff 29' (BHSS). My wife and I both came from camping familys and decided it was time for us to share that fun with our children ages 9 and 4 (both boys). We are really looking forward to getting out there and getting away from it all as much as possible. Since neither of my vehichles, nor the wifes mini-van was capable of doing the desired task we found a dedicated tow vehicle....a 1987 GMC suburban 2500 with a 454 and a turbo400 tranny.... I will tell you one thing, i never realized just how long 53' feet was (bumper to bumper) WOW!!! So anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hello, time to get reading and see how much knowledge I can gain from y'all.

Welcome to the forum. I know what you mean about realizing how long the trailer and truck can be. we are just under 55' long. enjoy the new tt and all the memories.

thanks for the welcomes! well, as with all bubbles they must pop i guess lol. We went up to the camper to put some supplies in it and get ready for a spring campout. Well the lights were verrrry dimm so i checked my plug in and all the connections were fine. I went out with the voltmeter and checked the battery.... 7.2 volts grrrrrr. Seems the convertor died. Called the dealer where we bought it from and told him, of course he told us that there was no warrenty on a used sale..... So here we are with a repair on a camper that we havent even gotten to use yet
