Hello From Sacramento, CA

Hi there,

I live in Sacramento California and I am looking to purchase my first travel trailer. I love camping and I do a sport called "Dog Agility". You may have seen it, it is where the dogs run around the obstacle course that has been shown on TV.

Anyways, I am looking for a light Apex or Freedom Express LTZ preferably under 3800 dry weight. Any thoughts on these models, pros, cons, type of hitch I should get, electric awning, quiet generator, etc.?

Any thoughts / help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all and have a great week.

Justine

Hello from Lakeport!

Get the biggest TV you can afford - the TT/5er size will increase!

Welcome!

My first questions would be, what are you using it for (family campgrounds, boondocking, etc.)? How many occupants? and what is the towing vehicle you plan on using?

I will say we looked at the Apex trailers and they seemed very nice.

Welcome to FRF, from a fellow NorCal'er!

it would also help knowing what you plan to tow with and if it has the factory tow package.

If you crate your dogs, I saw a great setup in a toyhauler that secured the crates in the garage area. Pleanty of room for all the dog paraphinalia also. Don't know your TV, but a TH may be hard to find in the weight range you listed.
