Hello from SE Michigan

Hello everyone! Mike and Lynda here. We Just purchased our fourth and final camper, 2021 Rockwood 2204S. It's a Twin/King unit with a dinette slide. We're retiring in a couple of years and our first 2 months will be spent driving Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, going up the Pacific coast, and heading back across the northern states. (we can hardly wait!) Originally we were going to go to Greece and do Rt 66 later, but with this Covid thing, we're just going to stay home.
We've been campers all our lives, primarily in Michigan's state parks. We started with tents, with the kids came the pop up campers, then the bunk house camper, now the couples camper.
We are fortunate to have family all over the US, so, in addition to meeting new friends, we can visit relatives as well.
We pick up our new unit next Tuesday and we will be on a private campsite the following Friday for a weekend trip. Hopefully the state will open up its parks before the season goes to waste.

"welcome To Our CaMpSiTe, If ThE TIKI's are LiT, So ArE WE."

Take care all, stay safe, stay healthy, and happy camping.

Welcome to FRF!
when you make that trip to the West Coast, be aware that you'll need to make reservations at least 6 months in advance, if you want to stay in public campgrounds, especially in California.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming purchase of 2021 Rockwood 2204S. Make sure to do a good PDI and don't let them rush you through it. make sure everything gets fixed before you leave the dealer. Good luck. Later RJD

Welcome from another Michigander. Ours & everyone else's reservations were automatically canceled when the governor closed the state parks two months ago, with a "possible" reopening date of June 22nd, but the way she keeps extending her stay home orders since March, recently again locking us down now until June 12th, you may be jumping the gun on making plans two years from now.
