Hello From South Louisiana

Hello All.

We are new to the forum and would like to introduce ourselves. Like many others we started out tent camping with our parents, got rained out too many times and moved to a 1982 Starcraft pop-up. We then bought a 1998 Coleman Naigara pop-up new in 1998. It served us well and we really enjoyed it. However, it was ten years old and we were ten years older with the addition of two children and a dog. It was just getting to be too much work.

We began a search for what would suit us better (I'm not going to say upgrade). We began looking at hybrids because we liked having the canvas and the idea of having a smaller footprint when traveling and parking but more room when expanded. However, the more we thought about it, it would still be more to deal with than we wanted.

So we started looking at travel trailers and began to like the rear slides. We recently purchased a 2008 Surveyor SV235RKS from Jeff Couch's RV and had it delivered. So far we have been pleased with the purchase and the trailer. We took it on its maiden voyage last weekend!

I said we are new to the forum but that is not necessarily true. We have lurked for a while on this one and a couple others. There is so much valuable information available that it's hard enough to find time to read it all much less post. Thank you all for taking the time and effort to post!

Welcome to the forums. I am fairly new here also. I am also from South Louisiana, around the Lafayette area. My wife and I are still shopping for a TT while dealing with tow vehicle issues. Hope to see you around.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Glad to see a good showing of Louisiana Boys on the forum too!

Milzat, those are some awesome mods you have done! Maybe I'll have the courage to attempt some of those one day.
