Hello from Southern Illinois

New to this forum but not to camping. Started many years ago with a tent and said that we'd always be tent campers. Boy have things changed. We now have a Sanibel Traveler 33RS. Hope I can share a little of our experiences and looking forward to learning from members of this site.

Welcome, from another Southern Illinoisan.

Another graduated tent camper here as well. A lot of great family memories in those tents throughout the years.

We have a HTT now... although we just recently bought a 10 x 14 tent w/ screen room attached to go camping with some friends who are also tent campers. Oddly enough, I am looking forward to re-visiting those days......on occasion of course.

Enjoy, and .

We are looking into the sanibel 33s how are you finding it and can you tell us where the dump valves ate located we have not seen them in any of the pictures, some units seem to have them in the most awkward places.

We're still very pleased with the Sanibel Traveler 33RS but it is still new. Time will tell. Overall I'm happy with Forest River. We had two Coachmen Chaparrals before this Sanibel.
The dump valve handles are located right above the dump connection. Prime Time left them behind the body side molding rather that extend them through it. Their locations are not marked and seem a little odd. They were inside the same door as the water and cable connections in our Chaparral.

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I have been tent campers our whole lives as well. I was just saying how we never thought we would go to a TT. But we pick up our first one tomorrow. We're very excited about it. We still have all of our tenting and backpacking gear for every now and then, but we're looking forward to this new experience
