Hello from Texas

New forum member from Houston. Not much of a poster but I read a lot of posts!

After owning 2 Jayco tt’s and 1 Kodiak tt, we finally jumped into the world of 5r’s. After looking at many different 5r’s and spending loads of time reading posts and doing research on this forum. We decided to buy a new 2018 Columbus 366RL and we splurged for the 1492 package. Only been out in it twice but it is so much more comfortable than any of the tt’s.

Not retired yet so camping opportunities are a bit limited, but we can’t wait to get out around the camp fire!

Welcome from just up the road a bit. I actually work in Houston (HCC). I'm a "weekender" like you, but thoroughly enjoy getting out when I can. Anyway, if you have any questions or whatever (sounds like you're already an experienced camper), let us know. Hope to see you down the road.

Dear Ashman 3690
Welcome to this forum. I too am new here. My wife and I also camped in a tent trailer for many moons, but have upgraded to a small travel trailer. Nice to have a real bathroom! Looking forward to camping again. It is a little snowy here in Idaho however. Will have to wait till April .
Enjoy your new trailer!

Welcome from SW Ohio.

We just got back from two weeks in Houston with the granddaughter and her folks.

Stayed at Eastlake rv near my daughter. Lovely park. No fireworks there. Except, Texans are nuts about fireworks for Christmas and New Years. Everyone around the park had them. They have lots of fireworks. Bedtime became 1 am. Guard dog did not like it.

We have a Cedar Creek Hathaway. Liked the Columbus brands. Purchased ours in March. Got in almost 9 weeks our first year.
