Hello from Texas

Hello,

First time RVíer and just got back from our first trip to Lake Somerville in our 2018 Isata 3.

We got it a week prior and busted our tails getting everything ready for the Laborday weekend. It was a ton of work making sure we had what we needed in RV sized portions but we learned a lot and canít wait to do it again!

I pulled the bass boat with the RV and it did really well, I avg. 11-12 mpg which was also surprisingly good.

Looking forward to getting to know this forum and finding tips and ideas to make our future trips even better.

TIA

Welcome from across the way a bit (just north of Houston). So I take it from the second picture, that you didn't launch the boat with the Isata. Somerville is a pretty neat place, but is so crowded on holiday weekends. But glad you got to enjoy it. Again, welcome, and hope to see you down the road!

Thanks EdJunior,

I’m pretty familiar with the park and launch at the park we stayed in and because we weren’t traveling far I had my wife follow with the truck so I could launch without problems. Yes it was packed and lots of craziness at the boat ramp.

I do intend on launching with the RV as I will be using it by myself when I travel to bass tournaments but I will also be more selective on the parks and ramps I know to make the ordeal easier. Crowded ramps, potholes, and tight access with overhanging trees are out of the question now.
