Hello from Texas in a new Surveyor

Hello all,
My wife and just purchased a new 2021 Surveyor 19RBLE today. We are newbie RVers, but have done lots of research and looking around. We both still work but are nearing retirement. I work for the AF as a civilian but am a retired infantryman, so I have plenty of experience suffering in the out of doors. We’ve both been reading the forums and reading about experiences and RVs and we carefully selected this model about two months ago, the wait wasn’t as long as we had feared. We are pretty excited to get on the road, but of course have some final fitting of our trailer (batteries, propane, repair on a damaged cabinet, etc), but are extremely happy with our choice. Love to hear from anyone that has this model.

Welcome. What part of Texas do you hail from? My guess is San Antonio (AF Civilian). I'm just north of Houston, but retired in San Antonio (20 years AF). Can't help with the RV specific part, but if you have any questions as you get ready or hit the road for the first time, let us know. There's a wealth of knowledge on this forum. Welcome again, and hope to see you down the road.

Do you have a place in mind for your maiden voyage? One thing I've found invaluable to take with you, to me one of the most important, is a tablet and pen/pencil. Or the electronic equivalent. With this, you can write down all the things you forgot to take with you, or the things you find you need or want, but didn't bring, or think about. And, you can jot down the things you probably don't need also. Anyway, have fun getting everything ready, and keep us posted!

Welcome from Colorado. We have this same model! Got our in December 2020 and have really been happy with our choice. We started by adding insulation and have been out on several local trips already :-)
