Smile Hello from the Great Northwest

Hello from the Great Northwest, My wife and I bought a brand new used
2006 Coachmen Chaparrel 277DS last fall. We traded in a Class C motor
home that had growen to small We looked at toy haulers for a
number months but didn't see anything not only in our price range but
what we liked. We dropped into a local RV dealer one Saturday afternoon
and was looking thought th toy haulers new and used and wondered
down with a saleman. The salesman was not one of thise guys that
wanted to sell you everything (Been there walked off the lot )but ask
the price range we were looking at and had we really looked at 5th wheel
trailer. He also stated had a number close to what we were thinking
about we walked thought a few and came across this Coachmen
Chaparrel about the forth or fifth trailer we looked at. When we walked in
we both looked at each other and as if to say this is really nice and were
sold (of course we didn't tell the saleman that). We walked around the
trailer and sat down in the easy chairs and talked for a while, I believe
this trailer talked to us as we looked at each and new we wnated it.
Then we ask the price and were even more interested when he told us that it was well under wanted we were looking at, he added he would thought in a couple of things like sewer hoses, cleaning kits, wheel locks.
I have to say that the traile was only on their lot a week, they had not
had a chance to clean it but it looked almost new, also the RV'ers who
traded it in on a Class A motor home took very, very good care of it inside
and out, it's like new, they replace all the tire's and brakes along with
re-greased all the axles and left the paperwork to prove it before trade-in.
We did add the rollup canvas over the two side-outs and covers over the
vents and 5th wheel hitch in my truck. We now have had it out one time for four days at one of my sons weddings at a nice camp grounds along
the Hook Canal, pulled great, was easy to hook up and reall nice to live
in. I have since talked with the pervious owners and told them how much
we like the trailer, they wished us luck and said they would look for us
along the road this summer. Saying all this and reading about Coachmen
I have read a number of comments, some bad, but I believe we have a
good product even thought it's any older 5th wheel

Hope to see you down the road out here in the west this summer

Welcome from the top LH corner of the mainland (Anacortes, on the only San Juan island you can drive to!). Sounds like you really got it right.
