That sounds like a great trip. We toured by car last year and had a great time. The highway system or auto____ depending on the country are the best, but some of the cities and small towns do not seem RV friendly. Let us know how it goes. If it works for you, we may try it.

to the Forest River Forums. You have a very interesting trip planned.

When my wife and I toured Germany several years ago we noticed a lot of people had campers but most were small and towed with their family cars. You will be a giant in those campgrounds. I hope you will fit into the sites. We didn't have time to check out any of the campgrounds but wished we could have. We traveled many different types of roads in Germany and most were quite good. I don't know about the rest of Europe but even the two lane roads we traveled were RV friendly.

Please keep us in mind on your trip and set up a photo album here and post as many photos as you wish. I for one will be very interested in seeing some of the campgrounds you find.

At last we have our Wildcat Yippee

Hi All

Many thanks for the welcome to your Forum. We picked up our wildcat last Tuesday from the UK dealer. He is based in Mildenhall, Suffolk near the American Air Force Base. We had 2 days on a small camping site to get to find our way around our new purchase. On thursday we left to travel down to Hastings (battle of 1066 Country) we are on on a wooded site here with fully serviced pitches.

We will stay here for a couple of months before leaving to catch a ferry from the United Kingdom to the North of Spain then drive down to Barcelona then along the spanish coast to portugal to spend the winter. We then plan to catch another ferry from spain to Morocco.

Once again for the great welcome and will post Pics when possible. We have a few teething problems with the unit, but we are still learning about the unit, we are so happy with the wildcat.

Best wishes to all

Some folks over there must figure the 2500HD is a monster truck when compared to Ford Transit vans. LOL

Thats very true lolololol the GMC takes up 4 parking places at the local supermarket. I figure that the GMC is about the length of a long wheel base Transit. Our rig is about 50 feet long, the access road to the site we are on is narrow. There are a couple of American RV's also on site that are towing small cars behind.

The pic worked great. Nice looking TV & 5er. Please post more pics when you can, it will be as close as I'll ever get to camping in Europe.
