Hello from upstate NY

We just traded up from our F150 5.4 V8 to a F150 F/X4 V6 E/B max tow and a Sunline T-1950 to a 2013 Rockwood 8280WS. We'll miss our Sunline but we know we'll love the Rockwood. Camping season's just getting started here and we're looking forward to our first trip in a couple of weeks.

We've made many new friends at the Sunline club and looking forward to meeting many more here. You have a very well organized and informative site.

Welcome sounds like you have a nice set up. how does that new TV handle that new camper.I almost got a fifth wheel but didn't think my TV was big enough. I don't have the max tow package in my FX4.Maybe next time. hope you enjoy it have fun.

thanks,

The Ford handles great. V6 EcoBoost (turbo) 365 hp and 420lb torque, 11.3k capacity. Built in brake controller, anti sway (automatically applies trailer brakes) pull out mirrors, retractable side box steps, made for towing. The 8280WS is 7000# empty and tows beautifully. The truck even has a check list animated on the dash before you take off with a trailer.

Congrats on the new Rockwood! I'm sure you will miss the Sunline at the start but you will be real happy with your Rockwood too. I was impressed when I saw a Rockwood at the RV show last fall.

Please sure to jump in if you have any questions or comments. And keep us updated on your upcoming trip. We love pics too.
