Welcome from us Anacortesians. We hope you enjoy your RV. We're getting ready to bag the whole experience, if we can find a buyer for our motorhome. On Soc Sec, even with a Boeing pension (diminished because I retired at 59) we find that 8 mpg on $4 a gallon gas and CG prices getting towards $40 a night, it's getting more and more difficult to justify the costs.
We'll miss it, though we haven't been very active. We only took one trip last season - a 2-week run from home through Astoria to Brookings, then Crescent City to I-5 and home.
With 70th birthdays for DW and my sister in August and our 50th wedding anniversary, we'll be overrun with visitors throughout August and the celebrations will be expensive. I'm afraid our RVing days are about over.
