Hello from Wyoming

My wife and I bought a Palomino HS 750 truck camper yesterday after towing a travel trailer for 11 years. We want to camp in dispersed sites in the mountains so we wanted something lighter. We have traveled all around the Rocky Mountain states, Pacific Northwest and to Texas to visit family in our trailer. We plan to head to the east coast this fall and Florida next winter, where our daughter and her family are moving. My wife was afraid to share the driving with the trailer. She plans to drive more with the truck camper. I got sick on an early travel trailer trip in Whitefish, Montana, and she had to pull the camper down that hilly curvy road to Missoula, and then over a few mountain passes to get us home to Sheridan, Wyoming. That was her only time to pull the camper and she still has PTSD from that experience. If you are a full time passenger, you might want to practice driving in or with your RV. I got a kidney stone and the doctor put me on a pain killer that knocked me out. There was no way I could drive. But other than that isolated event, knock on wood, we love RVing. See you on the road! Bill and Pam

Welcome to the forums! And happy camping in your new Palomino HS 750.

Since we too are from Wyoming, if you see us out camping, stop in and say hi! Might even have a liquid adult beverage to share with you!
