Hello Happy Campers!

We are in Idaho and just bought a 2015 Forest River Mini Lite Rockwood 2502. It is simply beautiful and I've spent a few weeks stocking it. We plan to get out next week for our maiden voyage. Any hints, tips, tricks are MOST WELCOME! We are new to this. We will unbox our new Honda 3000 generator, turn on the AC to test it out; will dewinterize today and sanitize fresh water tanks and lines; test the stove, oven and frig, etc. We plan to do some recon on Monday for a campsite in our area (they are full on weekends) and then park the camper on Tuesday. I CANNOT wait to camp! I know I will be enjoying this forum for a long time. Thank you!

Welcome from Wisconsin. Congrats and enjoy your 2015 Rockwood Mini Lite 2502. A couple of tips, Put a Maxx Air cover over your roof vent so you can keep it open in the rain, screen off your water heater, furnace, fridge vents, and bumper caps to avoid insects building nests in there, put a battery operated or 12V fridge fan in the fridge to keep air circulating. Take your camper to an unused parking lot and practice backing it up. At this time of year school parking lots are pretty empty.

Before you head out to that campsite, try a couple of days of 'driveway camping' if you can. You'll probably find a couple of items you didn't think you'd need. Your idea of a local campground is a good one.
Welcome from Texas!
