Hello I知 new here

My name is Anthony I知 new here and new to the RV world as well. We just recently made a purchase of 2021 Forest River XLR Micro Boost 27LRLE Toy Hauler. I have been in and around the trucking industry for over 50 years.
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction about wood screw mounted D rings.
Thanks in advance
Anthony

To all a Big Thank You
Thanks for the link Fonzie. My D rings are in 2X3’s all 4 screws. What I want do is go all the way through the 2X3’s. Drop 4 bolts and put a plate on the bottom. Never have to worry again.

Hello Guys, here I am again. I'm happy to say that I mounted my D ring for my HD motorcycle. Forest River had the D ring mounted in 2X3's with 5/16 wood screws. What I did was drilled those holes through and put 3/8X4" carriage bolts through the 2X3's. I used 3/8 fender washers and lock washers tightened the bolts up. Now I'm trying to find 5/16X4" flat head countersunk bolts locally with either hex drive, or Phillips head drive. for the Condor wheel chock mount. Keeping you guys up to date, thank you again for all your help and tips,

Anthony

I mounted my motorcycle condor mount. I noticed that the wiring and water hoses coming from the front of the RV are just hanging on the cross members with nothing to keep them from chaffing and creating an electrical short or a water leak in the future. I tied them with wire ties to keep them from rubbing (chaffing) I was really surprised that the manufacturer does this with no integrity in workmanship. WOW! Even the propane lines were not insulated against rubbing through. I’m glad I caught it before I had real trouble down the road. I’m sure someone else noticed this on their RV. The thing is there is a bladder under the water tanks and the cross members to help keep the hot and cold out. It was a task to get that bladder down so I could prevent any future problems.
