Hello:) Looking to buy. HELP.

Hello there! My name is Caitlin and I live in Southern California. I've joined this forum because my husband and I have been searching for a fifth wheel toy hauler for a couple of years now. We have a 1 1/2 little boy and are big camping and dirt bike fans. We just got married and are ready to buy. I've been searching and searching all different kinds. I have found one that really sticks out and I think I may be in love. It is a 2006 Forest River All American Sport. It's listed for 21,500. It looks like it's in fantastic shape. This was found on craigslist. I'm hoping to hear some feedback on personal experiences with this fifth wheel. I would love to hear all about forest river. Are they good trailers? Anything you can tell me would be amazing!

Welcome Caitlin!

You might also want to post this question again or search the part of this forum dedicated to that model 5er - All American / Canadian Sport - Forest River Forums

Good luck with your search!

Welcome to FRF, be sure to take a flashlight when you go look at it before you buy.

Look long and hard for any water damage on each corner under the kitchen and bathroom sink and the shower/tub.

Check EVERYTHInG and make sure it ALL works as it should.

Good luck.

Do a very thorough inspection of the roof.

Look at the tires. If they are original, they may need to be replaced even if the tread is fine.

If this is your first camper, I would buy from a dealer (personally) there can be so many things wrong that you dont know to look for right now and if you buy from a dealer you can get an extended warranty to cover those problems. Just a suggestion. I love craigslist too but if it were my first camper I would not take the chance.
