Hello! New to TT's, FRF, and our new 27BESS

Hi Everyone!

We just bought a brand new Flagstaff 27 BESS and are very excited to use it. It's our first TT and we purchased it just this Friday. Now that we're in it, staying the weekend in front of the house for a beginner test run, we are enjoying ourselves so far.

Sadly, we've found a few issues that will need mods/adjustments. The most important issue is the rear bunk. First off, the ladder is not attached and can easily fall away while being used, up or down. Second, the corner of the top bunk is awfully sharp and bound to destroy a forehead one of these days. As of now, I am planning to add a pool noodle to the edge and find some way to attach and detach the ladder when needed.

Does anybody else have these issues and have you found or invented a fix?

Also, any other insight from the wonderful folks on the FRF can provide for first time TT and 27BESS family?

Thanks everyone.

Welcome and congrats on new camper. You can buy corner protectors that may look better than a "noodle". I did a search on Amazon for; foam safety corner bumpers for furniture, found kits in different colors.
