Hello..Newbie Here

Hi everybody. My name is Anna. I am a retired truck driver, 67yo, and a widow since July, 2019. Homebase is Carthage, MO which is right next to Joplin (we've always said that every trucker knows where Joplin is...lol) I've missed the road and decided to get an RV and go live on the road again. I've learned so much from reading here that I decided to join so I could ask questions.

I have a 2008 Georgetown 350DS and I will be towing my Honda CRV. I don't plan on hitting the road for good until maybe August. Had to give my landlord 60 days notice and it's going to take me most of June to learn what I need to know and get things moved over.

Welcome from the countryside between Dallas and the Okie state line.

We stayed at Camp Mi Casa on the Route (66)…

17601 Old 66 Blvd, Carthage
on our return trip from the Goshen International Rally last summer!

Mr. Dan, I've driven past there going to my diesel mechanic's place and friends asked if I had talked to them about storing my RV out there instead of at church (where it's free..lol). I plan on being out for 6 months at a time and only coming home for a few days at a time.

We're sorry for your loss. As a truck driver, you're probably better prepared than most for life on the road. We're always available to try to answer questions. Better a dumb question than a needed repair.

Welcome to the forum from Texas!
