Hello... (waves)

Hi.

Been lurking a bit and decided this would be a good place to ask really dumb questions and get useful answers (and also facepalms, forehead slaps and eye-rolls) from experienced people, so I went ahead and registered.

So, umm... yeah. Hi.

+1 on that one - I myself am a a great source of useless answers.

Welcome from Southeastern PA! In all honesty, this is a great place to get answers to questions and help. I've asked my share of newbie questions, but at the same time, at least once someone pointed out something that wasn't working right with the thermostats on our water heater and I managed to get it addressed before it became a real problem.

No such thing as a dumb question on this forum. You might see a few or , but that doesn't happen very often and it's rarely used with newcomers. It's true that certain questions get repeated, but that's normal. And you might be able to help someone along the way.

Thanks for stopping the 'lurking' and joining the forum!

Hey, thanks everyone.

Here's my first question.

I've noticed a bunch of you have this map with (I assume) the states you've camped colored in. Where does one get that?

Welcome! you can goggle fillable state maps - there are several free websites that will come up. color in the states and save it as a pdf. Then in the User CP tab, click on edit signature and you can then attach the pdf.

you should also put your camper make and model in your signature - it helps with getting answers that may be camper specific as it shows up automatically in your posts.

This one is the one I use and seems to be pretty popular: https://www.epgsoft.com/visited-states-map/app/

Welcome! I've always subscribed to the logic that the only dumb (or stupid), question is the one that isn't asked.

That's usually a good rule-of-thumb, but then there was this public education superstar who once asked me; "Why would I need to shut off the circuit-breaker to replace a receptacle if there's nothing plugged into it?"
