Thumbs up Hello world from Chile

First of all I want to congratulate you for this forum, which allows us to share our experiences as campers and wildlife lovers.

In Chile the concept for campers has grown a lot, especially the RV culture, with different brands and models. The most reknown being Forest River. For us its a great help to be able to enter this forum due that on our beautiful country there isn't a local source for such valuable information.

I hope on a near future I can share some pictures so you can all know something about Chile, where we have the world's aridest desert, the best wines on the world and big lakes that span up to the the Antarctica.

Best,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,
I just joined the Forum, too. I spent a year and a half in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego (11/1960-5/1962) and visited Chile several times (Punta Arenas and Santiago). Lovely country and wonderful people. Unfortunately, I was not fluent in Spanish and used the Argentine word for butter (Manteca) at a formal dinner. I got some very strange looks before being nicely corrected by my hosts. I hope to visit Chile and Argentina again before I pass on, but the cost of travel is so much I am beginning to think I won't. Maybe I'll win the lottery and then I can travel. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for traveling around the USA in our Rockwood MiniLite ETC 181. I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Just have to see if we win the jackpot or the lottery.
