Hello, everyone, from eastern South Carolina. Woody & Sandy here and we're glad to be part of the group. In my younger years, I was an old-school tent camper. My lovely wife, Sandy-Lou, is a life-long camper of all types. Tents, truck campers, pop-ups, travel trailers, etc. You name it and she has camped it. We are both just simple country folk who like to enjoy the natural beauty of the world God gave us. We are hoping to enjoy more of that very thing by traveling around a little bit and keeping off the beaten path. Pulling a modest place to lay our head should certainly help with the financial obligation that goes along with it. Both of us have not camped in a few years but are picking up a used Flagstaff pop-up this weekend. We are buying it from a friend and although it has been stored in his garage for the past ten years, are expecting it will need some restoration/update work so any help with locating parts and update ideas will be greatly appreciated. My mother had a permanent campsite up in the mountains near Gatlinburg for over 20 years which we used all the time. However, in her declining health, she decided to sell the place a few years back. We missed camping and, as much as we like eastern Tennessee, didn't want to be locked in to just one location especially so far away from home. We are both in our 50's now so roughing it is out of the question (I am a BIG fan of conditioned air as I do not sweat - I rain!). We hope the gently used pop-up will serve our needs and provide us with an avenue to camp without going into debt for 10-20 years on a new one. I am fairly handy so I am hoping I can handle any repairs or updates that may come about. I will post some pictures of it when we get it home so everyone can see what we're working with. Thank you all in advance for all of the help I will surely need. Have a great weekend.
