Hi All,

1st time RV owner here - we just picked up a CrossTrail 23XGF on E350 chassis from Berryland Campers in Ponchatoula. We've rented a class B & a class C over the last 12 months & that's the limit of our RVing experience.

Does anyone know anything about the cargo hooks that fit into the rear storage compartment rails? my better half would like to hang her CF bikes in there.

Congratulations! That's a cool rig, but not many are on the road yet.

Thanks, we originally went looking at the 22XG but when SWMBO saw the Serta mattress in the 23 vs the skinny one on the fold up bed, plans changed. Another -ve for the 22 were the dinette back rest cushions - they curve in the transition between the bulkheads and the external wall, makes it uncomfortable to sit with your back against the eternal wall with legs straight out towards the kitchen. Interestingly both 22 & 23 were available on 350 & 450 chassis although advertised specs only talk about the 350, I guess they're just building whatever they can on whatever Ford can deliver - I ran the numbers and couldn't see how we'd ever need the extra capacity of the 450.

Anyway, yes the 23 is supposed to be able to haul bikes in the rear compartment, unfortunately it isn't supplied with any of the hooks that attach to the rails that you see in brochure pics.

Also the passenger seat is supposed to swivel, I've pulled the spring loaded handle on the rear LHS of the seat and slid it diagonally backwards and in but can't make it spin around - I've watched a YT video of the operation but no joy...
