Hi from Tampa, FL
Have been lurking as a guest here for a while. Wife and I have spent the last 18 months or so 'stalking' a TT - going to the local RV shows, checking out our friend's rigs, etc.
Made the plunge and take delivery of a pre-owned, gently used 2017 Surveyor 201RBS on Friday.

Welcome aboard.
We’ve wintered in the Largo area for a number of years. If I was living where you are (Tampa).....
I’d be camping here whenever you can get a site.
Pinellas County, Florida, Park and Conservation Resources - Camping Information
Do yourself a favor, and take a day ride over in your car to the campground. Check in at the office and let them know you own an RV, and you’d like to cruise through the campground to see the different campsites for consideration. They’re always receptive to allowing future customers on the property. Grab a campground map, and see a little piece of paradise. Just be aware of the trees and vegetation for fitting your rig on the various sites.

Sorta funny story. We have had an August group trip planned to Ft. Desoto for a while now. Original plan was to tent camp but that's changed a bit, obviously.
Great park, not too far from home - should be a good 1st shakedown.

Not sure what availability is like this time of year....but I’ve been told that sometimes you need to reserve a site 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE during Snowbird season.
However, apparently Florida residents get to reserve in priority. I suppose that’s fair, but make sure your August adventure is taken care of.
I’m envious. Enjoy your new adventure.

Pinellas county residents have 7 months. Every one else is six. And yes all nice camp grounds here book super fast.

Wish that were true. Only Pinellas County residents get a priority in reservations. Even though I worked in St. Petersburg for 35 years that does not count.
