How to go South in Winter?

Have new Puma 24-ft TT with idea of leaving South Dakota in February for several weeks along Gulf Coast. Now having second thoughts because of icy roads, dewinterizing for first time down south, winterizing AGAIN, etc. Are midwinter trips from North to South advised?? How to....?

I've done it, no problem. Adjust timing to coincide with weather forecast, then get south. I've flushed system while in FL and have winterized before coming back. I did take my own antifreeze with me though.
