Welcome from PA!
We just purchased a Campsite Reserve 26CJ as well! We are excited to pick it up Thursday.
Personally I have been RVing in my youth but this will be my wife’s first experiences RVing and mine as an adult on our own with our young growing family. Look forward to making memories!

I just for the heck of it, I would ask them to measure the ground clearance from the bottom of the chassis where your lippert quick drop stabilzer jacks are located because there is a warning sticker on there not to deploy them with less than 16" of ground clearance, or better yet, make them show you how it works. I can't get those things to deploy correctly iaw with their picture diagram. Also, demand a spare tire before you leave or tell them to order one for you for free.

Camping world rushed us big time during our walkthrough/orientation, so I left there knowing less than half of what I know now because I've had to pour through manuals and videos to try and figure things out.

Camperman83: Welcome to the forum. We live in Lakewood, so 15 miles from you, and have had a Forest River travel trailer and fifth wheel. The previous suggestion to camp locally to learn your way around both your trailer and an RV campground's facilities is a good one. We did that with friends who had had trailer for years. We reserved adjacent RV sites at Chatfield State Park over a weekend and they showed us the ropes.

My suggestion would be to reserve an RV site at Bear Creek Lake Park (a Lakewood city park with an online reservation system), located at US 285 and C-470. It is 30/50A electric only, so not as popular as Chatfield and Cherry Creek SPs, but it will help you learn about using water fill and dump stations. It's also a mile from my house and where I kayak, fish, and ride my E-bike. So, if you have questions while there, you can call or text me. If you are having a major problem, I can even bring my bike, help you solve your problem, and then take a ride around the lake.

Send me a PM if you decide to go to BCL Park and would like my cell number.

FYI: For seven years, I have had a blog about FREE and inexpensive camping in the Colorado mountains that includes routes, campsites, dump stations, not-to-miss scenic attractions, permits and passes, best fall aspen leaf viewing, wildlife areas, and more. It can be accessed HERE. I update it annually or more frequently when events occur like that indefinite closure of US 50 at Blue Mesa Reservoir.

Welcome and congratulations on your new rig. Both my wife and i are AirForce retired. Our first rig was a 32’ stryker toy hauler and now were in a 30’ class C. My biggest advice , like others have said is to stay close the first time out. Take a note book to write all the things that you need and forgot.
It will take you some time to get comfortable with hitching, leveling and setting up. Ask lots of questions (this is the place) and keep bugging your dealer for any questions also. Most important tools are just you basic screwdrivers and pliers and for your stabilizers get a battery powered impact.
Good luck to you brother and sister, enjoy.

They did not for mine, and it seems unconscionable to let someone drive away without one, especially a first time RV owner. 2.) Have you came up with any design hacks to prevent items in your pass through storage from being able to crash into your solar control pane? 3.) Our trailer mount for our lippert quick drop stabilizer jacks are less than 16" off the gorund, and the stabilizer jacks have a warning label not to deploy them with less than 16" of ground clearance. Have you figured out a way around that? Our trailer has the same chassis, so I'm certain you have the same problem. I've never been able to those stabilizer jacks the full 90 degrees they recommend.

Camperman83 - Sorry I didn't see your post until now. I've not been on the site.
1.) Our camper did NOT come equipped with a spare tire.
2.) Camping World had trouble getting my antennae issue fixed so we haven't had our camper much. They just brought it back to me yesterday, so we haven't had much time to figure out the storage options. I've been thinking about picking up a mesh basket at the Dollar Tree and putting that over the solar control panel. Three or four small screws to hold the basket (inverted of course) over the panel should take care of it.
3.) I haven't run into the 16" clearance issue yet. We have been putting the jacks up and down with the drill bit with no issue. If you have a controlled descent, you should be fine.

Hope this helps - we camp this Thursday for 2 nights. I'll let you know if I find any issues.

Outside TV

What tv did you buy for the outside tv mount? All the TVs I am seeing do not have 4 mounting holes close enough to fit the tiny little square that slides down into the mount.

We don't have a TV for the outside. Measure the mounting - horizontal, vertical and diagonal. These measurements will tell you how big a TV you can put on it (check the internet for mounting specific weights and such). I don't know if you can purchase a larger mount to slide in to the outside bracket. I used my bracket to make a shelf that holds all the small stuff that gets in the way on my picnic table, like condiments, bug spray, SPF and such.
