Howdy from Missouri 2010 Georgetown
Hello! We were looking at trailers to upgrade from a 20-yr old popup, but this Class A popped up on Craigslist for lower price than a used pickup so here we are! 2010 Georgetown 350TS with 64,000 miles.
Bought on March 4th with no warranty on consignment from people we judged to be trustworthy. If you need something fixed in southeast Kansas, go to A-Z Mobile RV Repair in Paola. They have done good work for us and are very knowledgeable.
Replaced the driver and passenger seats (bought used at Colaw RV scrap yard in Carthage, MO), replaced the generator (new Onan 5.5), working on replacing the windshield wiper assembly (being custom made by AM Equipment), but everything else worked from day 1!
Sold our Fusion and bought a Fiesta for towing (Craigslist and Facebook Mktplc) - tore it apart and installed the Roadmaster tow bar from eTrailer.com. 2012 Ford Fiesta sedan (manual trans). Using Blackhawk II All-Terrain. Overkill, but I expect it to last! Also have RVi3 braking and TPMS.
We're storing the Motorhome in nearby caves. Missouri has huge limestone cave storage facilities - perfect for climate controlled storage of toys! Cheaper than the metal shed storage places, also!
Did you know Kansas state parks never closed? Our maiden voyage with toad was April 30 to Fall River State Park in southeast Kansas. We survived 50mph wind gusts and brief downpour. Much better than a pop-up! Hope to share and compare notes as we try to nurture this former New Jersey rental unit!
Heading to Wilson State Park in Kansas June 3, and Destin, Florida June 26th! Johnson Shut-Ins State Park in Missouri late September, then Pershing State park and Canton, Missouri - Mississippi riverfront in October. Then to Quintana Beach in Texas between Christmas and New Years!
Looking forward to chatting with you!
