Howdy from Sunny West Texas!

Bought our first camper 2 weeks ago, it is a 2014 Rockwood HW296. Been married 36 years, and camped in a tent all those years. Finally decided to camp the easy way! First trip will be to the Davis Mountains State Park the first week in April. I have a huge backyard, but no way to get it into the backyard. It has been parked at work since we got it, and it has been driving me crazy! I need to install the rearview camera I bought, and other things. It would be so much easier if it was in my backyard, but it will have to wait until I get the money to have my brick fence cut open wide enough to accommodate it. Looking forward to gleaning info from everybody here.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on the new RV.

Are you from out in west Texas or from West, Texas?

Welcome to the forums from Idaho.

If I may suggest, get a 8 pound sledge and work out some of your not camping yet blues out on the brick work.....

You may need some gravel to park on......

Thanks for the welcome.

I am in Western Texas, not West, TX. Midland to be exact.

Too old to swing a sledge anymore(maybe dynamite)! Gravel is the plan.

Think I will stick with the dynamite idea, that is cool, but it would take me the rest of my life! LOL

Welcome for Wisconsin and congrats on your 2014 Rockwood HW296. It'll be so nice to get up off the ground and enjoy all the amenities of your new HW.

We will be there with friends the same weekend. 2 families with several kiddos ranging from 9 to 15.
Great park, in fact I've got 4 trips planned there this spring. One with friends, one with Indian Princesses, one with Indian Guides, and one with our Sunday school class.

It is our favorite spot close to home. My DW and I are going alone for the maiden voyage, then we will take the grandkids on the next venture. Have fun, and be safe.

Welcome from northern Indiana. I lived in Lubbock for 15 years, graduated from Texas Tech and worked for Texas Instruments. Got to Midland once or twice a year.
